The Huntsville/Madison County Builders Foundation, Inc.  was created in 1997 and is a non-profit corporation and qualified for tax exemption and charitable organization 501(c)(3). It is governed by a Board of Directors. The central object and purpose of the Foundation is to provide building trade educational opportunities, scholarships and charitable contributions.  Since inception, the foundation has given hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships and charitable contributions.

 

Scholarships

 

The Huntsville Madison County Builders Foundation accepts scholarship applications from any person who is pursuing an education in the fields of construction trades, housing industry vocations and college education.

 

Scholarship applicants must:

 

  • Be accepted by an accredited two-year junior or community college, four year college or university, or state accredited vo-tech school; or an enrolled undergraduate student; and
  • Be pursuing study in drafting, building science or other housing industry vocations such as heating and air conditioning, electrical, masonry, carpentry, etc.
  • Students must be residents of Madison County or contiguous counties.

 

Scholarship applications are accepted from January to March each year and awarded in late spring.
